Although it may not make you feel as powerful as Frodo or The Green Lantern, the Nenya ring by Nokia is truly a magical ring that will bestow on its wielder fabulous powers of phone control. Hoping to solve the hassles of reaching in to our pockets or purses to control our rings, researchers at Nokia have come up with a magnetic field altering ring that can control your cell phone by bluetooth expertise.
The ring works by rotating around your finger which alters the magnetic field surrounding the ring & transmitting information to the phone in order to perform simple acts such as controlling audio, updating locations to social networks, or asking callers to hold.
After several small trials, the researchers have found that people could exactly position the ring in 45 degree increments which would permit the ring to hold up to different options for control. Although the Nenya is still in its early research & development phases, the idea definitely offers an intriguing look at the future of remote cell phone control.
