If you are like me, you are strapped from the economic problems of today and find yourself pinching every penny you can. My beauty products have begun to suffer. As a woman, I don?t want to have the stress and money concerns of the economy to show up on my face and body, especially at my age. I have searched high and low for ways to reduce my beauty bottom line. I would like to introduce you to a few homemade beauty products I have found.
There are a few anti-aging masks that I can recommend. There is a very simple one that just consists half and apple, a tablespoon of sea salt, a teaspoon of honey, and a quirt of mineral water. Mix these things together well, and apply to your face.
Leave this sit for 15 minutes and then rinse well. This is one of my favorites because it has a pleasant smell. It?s not like applying mayonnaise to your hair or eggs on your face. The thought of the smell alone….
You can also substitute the honey and sea salt with cream and have a wonderful mask. Be sure to increase the amount of apple used to a whole apple.
Another must have for a woman is toner. Here is an herbal toner for any skin type. Combine 2 tablespoons of fresh or dry mint, chamomile, calendula, or sage leaves with one cup of boiling water. Steep this mixture for one hour. Soak a cotton ball with the herbal mixture and wipe your face. You can also add 1 teaspoon of honey. This works great for hot weather. If you need one for cold weather, mix one tablespoon of mint in half a glass of hot milk. Steep this for 30-40 minutes. Apply this to your face with a cotton ball as well.
Every woman needs a facial cream. Go ahead and try this one strawberry one. Mix 3-4 tablespoons of strawberry juice and one teaspoon of glycerin. Let this stand for 5-10 minutes. Then add one teaspoon of oatmeal flour. Shake this well and apply this to your face. These are a few of the homemade beauty products that I have tried in an effort to trim my beauty expense.
It has helped me save more than a few pennies and my skin is just as beautiful as if I used the expensive store brands. I hope than you will try these. Do a little research yourself and try adding new ingredients that are more specifically geared to your skin type.
I?m no skin care expert. I am just a woman on a budget like everyone else and want to keep my youthful appearance even though I?m on a tight budget.
