A man from Austria named Josef Fritzl, held his daughter in captivity for 24 years and during that time fathered 7 children with her. According to MSNBC, he pleaded guilty to incest but denied murdering a newborn son, in which he was also accused for doing. Fritzl completely understood that by holding these children underground that he was keeping them from their liberty. He did plead innocent though of enslaving his daughter of all these years. He kept his daughter and four of the children in a cellar that he built in his house. Although he was married to a woman named Rosemarie, she never even knew of her husbands acts and the secrets he kept. He did though have 3 of the kids living up above with him. All of this was discovered when one the children living in the cellar became sick and had to go to the hospital. It was at this time authorities were contacted. This case recieved a lot of attention in Austria and for good reasons. There are alot of sick and dangerous people in our world. If this man is convicted for murder of his newborn son than he may be spending life in prison. If convicted of rape he may only spend up to 20 years.

For so long it was thought that Africa was leading in numbers when it came to the AIDS pandemic. Over the weekend, Washington Post has reported that Washington D.C. is leading over Africa. Here is what they are reporting, “At least 3 percent of District residents have HIV or AIDS, a total that far surpasses the 1 percent threshold that constitutes a “generalized and severe” epidemic, according to a report scheduled to be released by health officials tomorrow. Our rates are higher than West Africa,” said Shannon L. Hader, director of the District’s HIV/AIDS Administration, who once led the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s work in Zimbabwe. “They’re on par with Uganda and some parts of Kenya.”
AIDS is a disease that is becoming more and more prevalent all over the world, not just in Africa and not just in Washington D.C., I believe it is imperative that people starting getting checked and being extra careful on what activities they carry on.

Early this morning in Miami, Fl, a man shot and killed 5 people and then turned a gun on himself. This is what is called a murder-sucide. The man is said to have shot 4 people and then turned the gun on himself. The four people that were in the house were identified to be the shooter’s ex wife, her daughter, her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s grandmother, according to WPLG based in Miami. It has been reported that JLo, Jane Fonda, Warner Bros, and anyone else that were involved in making the movie, Monster in Law is being sued by a woman that claims that she wrote a screen play on a monstrous mother in law. Sheri Gilbert, the self proclaimed screenwriter believes that she is entitled to a piece of the $154 million dollars the movie made at box office back in 2005.
Who here actually believes that this woman wrote a screenplay and warner bros. stole it or who believes that this economy has her believing that this was her original idea because I don’t know if she just rented this movie on DVD because this is something that should have been handled back in 2005.

Authorities are saying that the same man, Kerry Thomas, 45 from Idaho was already charged years ago for trying to spread the HIV virus, is being charged again for the same offense. The first time he did this was in 1990. He was to serve 12 years for his offenses the first time and when he allowed parole after 3 years he was later released. Now Thomas is facing some new charges and if convicted he may be sentenced to life in prison.

Yesterday, Anna Nicole Smith’s boyfriend, Howard Stern and her doctor were put behind bars for conspiring to provide drugs before she died. They were each released last night at a bail of 20,000. They were charged with 8 felonies each. If you recall Anna Nicole Smith died due to what authorities called an accidental overdose of prescribed drugs. The medications they found were prescribed to both Smith and to Stern. They found all types of drugs in her system. Officials said they found over the counter drugs, antidepressants, growth hormone, sleep medications, etc.
