Last night on American we got to see the remaining 11 contestants compete for their chance to be the next American Idol. Personally, I thought overall everyone could have done a much better job but I did have some personal favorites from last night’s performance. Last night, everyone went country and Randy Travis served as their mentor. One of my favorites of the night was the last performer Matt Giraud, which did a really good job in my opinion, the other was Anoop Desai, which Simon said went from a zero to a hero in a week and he took back what he said about Anoop not deserving to be there. Also Danny Gokey did a fine job singing Carrie Underwood’s song, Jesus take the wheel. Overall I would have to give last night’s show a C. The others well, we’ll just have to wait and see how America feels about them.

First dates are by far one of the most important dates any person can go on. The first date is the deciding factor for many on whether or not to pursue the other individual. Therefore, it is very important that the date constitutes of good conversation and obviously lots of fun. Many people have trouble in the department of things that are allowable to talk about on the very first date and having an easy going conversation is by far the most important. So here are a few tips on things you can and should talk about on a first date.

You should definitely be asking lots of questions to keep the conversation afloat but be sure you give her enough time to answer and also provide answers for the questions that you ask too.

Ask your date about their likes, dislikes, where did they grow up, family, do they have siblings, what are their pet peeves, what do they like to do for fun, if they could go anywhere in the world where would they go, ask about their career, do they enjoy what they do, do you see yourself having kids, talk about current events, politics, entertainment news, favorite actor, singer, song, writer, talk about most recent books you’ve read, please find out the last time your date picked up a book to read. Also, as crazy as this may sound, be orignal and creative in how you approach your date about sex on the first date, I think it’s important to know where the other person’s head is at when it comes to such an important topic for many. No matter how this date turns out, don’t be afraid to have fun.

Guys rule of thumb, women love to go on and on about themselves, try to listen and talk a little about yourself as well. I hope these tips will help you have a fun and successful dating experience.

Ok, last time the Dancing with the Stars contestants did their second round of dances for both the judges and of course the viewers at home and I have to say that Gilles, the sexy actor from the sex and the city movie absolutely stole the show and we can’t forget about our girl Melissa Rycroft from the Bachelor. They both were absolutely on fire and were of course safe from tonight’s elmination. The dance off that occured on tonight’s result show was between the GoGo lead singer, Belinda Carlisle and professional partner Jonathan Roberts vs. Steve Wozniak and his partner, Karina Smirnoff. Unfortunately it was the Go Go lead singer that had to go home. The viewer’s votes were combined with the judges scores to determine who is stay and who must go. As the competitin progress, so will the dancing…hopefully! This was our quick wrap up on what happened with Dancing with the Stars.

Who would have thought, that Goodwill and many other thrift stores would be the new hot spot for shopping. According to one of our favorite news source CNN, they are reporting that thrift fashions are on the horizon during these hard times. The recession has caused so many people to buckle down when it comes to spending. “As budgets tighten during the economic crunch, buying used clothing is no longer just for fans of vintage wear. Many are discovering the hidden treasures in consignment shops, as well as thrift stores and other places once thought to be only for the destitute.”

Don’t be surprised if many more people decide to attend Goodwill’s fashion show where they show off different styles of clothing on the catwalk.

Yesterday, we talked about Fritzl, the man from Austria that had his daughter locked up in a cellar for 24 years, where he raped, abused and fathered her seven children all while still being married and having seven other kids with his wife. This case had been presented last year when one of his children were having convulsions and needed to go to the hospital. It was at this time that authorities were contacted because something had seemed to be odd. Fritzl admitted to raping his daughter and keeping his kids captive for all of those years. He may also be convicted of murdering  newborn infant that he fathered with Elisabeth, his daughter, which may very well cause him to be sentenced to life in prison. Fritzl now faces charges of rape, murder, incest, assault, and slave trade.

There are a lot of sick people in this world and we hope that justice will be served.
