What other people think and say about you and what you do can hold you back in life. If you care too much about their opinions. The fear of being judged by others often hinders your decision making. You may not make improvements or changes in your life because you know, based on previous experiences, how some people could react if you did that. Holding what people may say about you to high can keep you from moving forward in your life. Therefore one must think about what others may say about them in a healthy way. In what way can you overcome this issue to find more freedom in your life? It is inevitable that people will always have something to say about the things you do. But there are ways to help you care about what they say yet still do what you want to do. Holding yourself back in life because of what other people may think or say does, in my experience, to a large part come from a belief that people care a great deal about what you are about to say or do. Perhaps you are afraid that people will laugh or analyze what you said or did for the rest of the week or year. But a much more realistic scenario is that they have their hands full with worrying about their own lives and what people may think of them instead. This might make you feel less important in your own head. But it also sets you free a bit more if you'd like that. Yes, in your head you may be the most important person in the world. But don't project that onto other people. Because in their world the most important person is probably themselves or their kids. All people like to receive praise, it's nice. But it's not nice to jump around shouting aloud bragging about it. If you think like that about praise then when you receive the opposite of it, then you will be fully prepared for it. You would take it calmly, not overreacting and move on. That way you can appreciate that piece of information too. Having this mind set can allow you to not care too much about other people's opinions. Rarely are things ever completely about you. So when there is a negative person always complaining about other people or making personal attacks, more often than not they are probably not about you. People often have their own issues. Therefore they could be using all their negativity as a way to release their frustrations. Or get you to fall in line of their point of view. So ultimately they have a personal issue. Not because of something you may have done. It is also nice to remember that once in a while everyone has a rotten day. Sometimes people do have something to say of value. So it would be stupid to just stop care about what they say completely. This is just a small sample of ways to help you. Sometimes a simple picture can provide all the inspiration you need. Just remember to listen carefully to what people say about you.
