Domestic Violence is something that we hear about quite often in the society in which we live. At any given point in our lives all of us will have an opinion on this matter, especially these days since the media’s focus is turned to Chris Brown and Rihanna and their ordeal. It’s important for people to understand the severity of being in an abusive relationship, whether it is phyiscal or emotional.

Abusive Relationships aren’t easy to deal with and sometimes those that are in it tend to be in denial of what is actually happening. Sometimes people let love blind them into believing many things about their partners. They don’t see what can potentially come of their relationship  or of their if they don’t get out  of the abusive relationship. It is imperative that people stand up for themselves and take control of their lives and never allow their partner to abuse them emotionally or physically. With this said, let’s look at certain signs that can allow a person to know if they are in an abusive relationship.

- Does your partner have a temper and always tends to take his anger out on you by yelling or screaming?

-Does your partner always question the things that you do, or where your going, who your going with?

-Does your partner control your finances?

-Does your partner prevent you from doing certain things you love, or prevent you from seeing your friends, or getting a job, going to school?

-Does your partner criticize the way you look, the way you dress, or criticize your weight?

-Does your partner get close to your face or ball up his fist, or hit things around you when you and him are in a heated argument?

-Does your partner hit you, throw things directly at you, calls you names, curses at you?

-When you are done having an argument, does your partner come bearing gifts, make expensive purchases, begs and pleads for your forgiveness?

-Does your partner promise that they won’t let it happen again?

-Does your partner initiate intimacy so that  all can be forgotten?

-Does your partner deny that they are abusive?

If you have answered YES to most of these questions, then there is a great likelihood that you are in an abusive relationship or a relationship that can potentially be abusive.

Now believe me I know that this isn’t the easiest thing to deal with or talk about but here on the things we talk about, we try to be as real as possible and deal with the real issues in life. Life can take some ugly turns with you but it’s better if you can already see what may come of them and try to prevent certain things from happening.

Take a good look and see if this is a relationship worth pursuing, better to be safe than sorry!

Well I know this is kinda of a late notice but E! and many others are reporting that Rihanna and Chris Brown decided to take a break. After going through all of these ups but more downs these past few weeks, Rihanna decided to come to the east coast to take a break from Chris. Last week, thursday Rihanna was spotted having dinner with pals, Brandy, Beyonce and Jay Z, while Chris is back in LA supposedly at the studio recording. Who knows what will come from all of this but hopefully Rihanna does make the best decision for herself.

This is a quick wrap up of what happened this week in Hollywood and I’m sure by the end of today something else is bound to happen, but this is what we have so far that has been hot topics in the entertainment news. Let me bring you up to speed. We have Rihanna and Chris Brown recording what seems to be an apology duet together; update on this, people.com is reporting that this isn’t true, at this point who knows. I personally think it’s gonna take much more than that to get back into everyone’s good graces. People.com is reporting that Mandy Moore got married (you know the girl that plays in the movie “A Walk to Remember” she got married to Ryan Adams. She wore a simple dress and sandals and he wore a white tee and skinny jeans, doesn’t get simpler than that ladies and gentlemen. Also this week the on again off again couple, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are broken up, which I’m sure will change by next week. Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s daughter also split from her fiance Levi Johnston two months after giving birth to their son Tripp.

This is what bad relationships and bad publicity can cause you, to lose people’s respect and to lose your money. According to E Online, Rihanna may lose some major endorsement deals because she has decided to take Chris Brown back. Some of the companies that gave her these endorsements are waiting to see how the public will react to what she has done. If the public isn’t that supportive then bye bye endorsements. The most logical reason I see fit is probably that this will in turn give their brand a negative look and risk them losing consumers which in turn causes them to lose money. 

So what should Rihanna do, risk losing her endorsements or just lose Chris Brown?

Word is being passed around that in order to get Chris Brown’s back in good graces with his fans, him and Rihanna will together write a book on abuse. Now I’m not quite sure if his fans will be so forgiving as perceived by his lawyers but we’ll have to wait and see if this in fact even happens. According to Fox News, Rihanna and Chris Brown “will co-author a book about abuse and go on a talk show whirlwind to speak directly to their fans and the general public. It is widely expected that Brown’s high-profile attorney, Mark Geragos, will broker a probation deal for his client that will involve no jail time.”
