Hey for those of you who watched Idol tonight and even those of you that did not, No Doubt performed tonight on Idol and Gwen announced that they are going on tour. They are kind of doing things backwards since they haven’t released an album (people usually release albums and then go on tour) but she did say it was kind of her fault that they haven’t been doing much. So they’ve decided to go on tour to get inspiration to release an album. So for all No Doubt fans, look out for tour dates to go and check them out.

For those of you that missed American Idol tonight, the first person that was surprisingly safe tonight was Kris Allen. He was in shock especially after Simon said that his performance was like having ice. Since there are only four left they did it backwards, there wasn’t a bottom three but rather who was part of the top three. The next person that was safe was Adam, which really did an amazing job. So this meant that Allison and Danny were in the bottom two, and the person that went home was Allison. She had a gone run but her time was unfortunately up. We wish her the best in everything that she does and she will definitely be on tour. No more girls ya’ll now it’s up to the guys to bring it home. Who will be the next American Idol? Who knows.

Last night was absolutely bananas on American Idol, the bottom three included Adam, which did an amazing job the night before, Kris and Matt. Well who got the boot? Matt! Now were down to four, who will win this competition?

What happened on American Idol, well tonight they had a guest judge, he’s an actor turned singer turned actor, and he had a movie that didn’t so good in the box office this weekend, yes it’s Jamie Foxx. He really took his job as a mentor very seriously too. This week the song choices were from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, so the judges were determined to look for something more and it was definitely the competitors swag. Adam Lambert seemed to capture the judges attention, it seems like they don’t really know what to make of him but they all seem to like him. Danny Gokey seemed to have swag tonight according to the judges, he was confidant and also did a good job in his performance. Kris Allan, I thought did a good job, but unfortunately I think he may be in the bottom three alongside Allison and also Matt Giraud. So I guess we have to wait until tomorrow night to see what happens.

Well tonight, two people were sent home, since the judges saved someone last week. Tonight it was bye bye Lil Rounds and then Anoop Desai said goodbye to his American Idol dreams. We weren’t too surprised about Lil Rounds since she got so much bad criticism from the judges and well Anoop was never on my list to make it to the finals. Now there is only one chic left to represent the girls, and she was in the bottom three. So what this means for the ladies this year, who knows, I guess the guys will have another year in a row. Speaking of guys, runner up David Archuletta also performed on tonight’s show and I can so see why he didn’t win, not that I’m hating, the performance just wasn’t that great. Ok, so tonight was disco night on American Idol, and this was a very pleasant show to watch tonight in my opinion. It was pretty dull and boring if you asked me and it seemed that a lot of the singers were really not in their comfort zone and some opted to not go disco all together. The top contender tonight would definitely be Kris Allen, according to Paula and Simon. He really did a good job with his vocals, singing “She works hard for the money.” Simon actually thought that it was a fantastic performance. Adam Lambert also seemed to be coming into his own, he also got some good reviews from the judges, Kara said “You’re brilliant. I don’t know what else to say,” Kara DioGuardi said, then added “Every week you up it for me. You look like the guy from ‘Saturday Night Live’ meets Clark Kent. The emotion, the way you connected, it’s inspiring.” Danny Gokey, one of my personal favs, also did a good job tonight as he usually does but unfortunately Simon said that it lacked star power, whatever that means. I still think he’ll make it far. Allison got some good reviews as well, Randy actually thinks that she’s the best singer in the competition. Matt Giraud, not so hot, Simon thought his performance lacked originality and poor Lil Rounds got slammed again by the judges. They didn’t think she did a good job at all either. Anoop Desai, Kara loved his performance while Simon thought it was his worst yet. So we really have to wait and see what America has to say about this one.
