This is a straightforward, non-subtle, and certainly an unapologetic blog about the hardships, obstacles, and burdens of black women. Too many African-American women subject themselves to pain and violence for love and a couple of minutes of pleasure only to be betrayed and disrespected by their loved ones or at least that is what is being claimed. “B**** where is my dinner? Why is this house filthy? H** where have you been? Why these kids not fed? and Why my momma lights not on at her house? The queen of soul said it best “all I’m asking for is a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T when I come home.” Sadly, but true many women come home from a long and hard day of work to crying babies and to hear a shouting husband who has been home hours before her demanding domestic work already be done, as if he is incapable of doing such tasks his self. Sorry Alicia but I don’t wear an ‘S’ on my chest. Such demands are preposterous, and if she doesn’t she is stubborn, unsupportive, and the reason why black men date white.
For so long women of color have been blamed for everything wrong, from the high incarceration rates of black men, to the personal failures of every man. It seems as if being a woman in its self is a burden, if they have to carry that responsibility in addition to child birth, taking care of the home, shifting ourselves to placate men and our bosses, raise children, and somehow still manage to meet the increasing pressure of conventional beauty standards. Women are not given the respect and honor that they deserve without question.

We all know that things haven’t been going great with our economy and most of us are having much harder time than others. Can you buy without money? I don’t think SO, this bad economy has affected what we eat and the way we eat, if we go out and when, and even affecting our clothing. How you would ask well, if you don’t have any money you can’t really buy new clothes and can’t even wash them properly due the high rising cost of cleaning product. Qualities of a good/true friend
It should never be you against the world. It may seem as though, it is the best thing but it really isn’t. It may seem like you can handle it but sometimes the world becomes too big for just you to handle. That’s why the presence of at least one person by your side is needed and it shouldn’t be just anybody. This person has to be rare, has to be one of kind. This person has to be, someone who knows just what to do, when to talk, and when to listen and how to be there for you. You’ll need somebody who inspires you to grow in new ways; someone who will make life worth living by encouraging, praising, sharing and caring and someone who can see things from your point of view and still be able to implement his/her perspective to the situation. This person needs to be someone who will be willing to take on the world with you and someone who will be running by your side, someone who will be your oxygen when you run out of breath, someone who will be your support system. Someone who will stick by you through thin and thinner, where there isn’t any thick. Someone who understands that the natures of friendship requires a blend of warm compassion and love that is deep and true. When you find that person remember that to have a good friend, you must be a good friend and so you’ll have to be all those things to that person. The day you wake up thanking goodness for good friends will be one of your happiest days so don’t forget to enjoy it. Never take a friend for granted because a true/good friend is truly a blessing.
