There are many many tools that can help you to recover from this virus and as noted on symantec website try not to use any free antivirus software.

However, whenever I get any infection on my computer I have always find the following tools really helpful:

1. Windows Defender (Free Anti-Spyware tool from Microsoft)

2. Spybot (Free anti-Spyware tool)

3. Symantec corporate version

4. Norton Anti-Virus.

5. Windows® Malicious Software Removal Tool

Again please make sure your computer Operating system is update with all the latest patches from Microsoft and also make sure that you tools are also update.
